I've seen them before and was thinking of getting them when I get my cowl hood.

Only thing I was worried about was the catch area is held in by 4 little screws sunk into the bottom of the hood.. How much support can that possibly give before those little screws pull out?

I had the same concern with small mounting screws... but then again, it is not like this would have all the holding force as it is merely a backup to the stock latch.

If you're using the stock latch in conjunction with these than that's fine. Do not think you can just use these and no latch, bad news.
