remember the underhood cleanup thread- he moved the ECM to the fenderwell...was just thinking about it, couldnt find in a search...

 

I remember this thread too but can't find it as well. He moved the ecu to the right fender well area.

 

I remember seeing that thread and thinking, "I hope he plans to keep that car forever, because no dealer, or individual in their right mind would ever touch that car with a 10' pole." Can you imagine the future "gremlins" in that electrical system and paying someone $70+ hourly to troubleshoot?!?

 

I was thinking it was kinda cool, but think i'd opt to make a all new harness- pretty sure pins/plugs could be found...I do machine tool electrical design/wiring, and agree, that many splices would worry me a little long term, although done right, could be ok. on my cars, I kinda do plan on keeping as long as i'm around
