Anyone here work in a custom car audio/visual shop?
When I first got the car I wanted to add satellite radio and navigation, so I took it to a car audio shop and they installed an eclipse unit with sirius radio. What I did not know was where they were going to put the antenna for the satellite radio. I am not too thrilled with the location (roof). Does anyone know what kind of work would go in to relocating this antenna to the dash or if its possible to get good reception from inside the car? Ideally, I would want the sirius antenna to go next to the gps antenna (which is on the passenger side of the dash). And plus, they ripped that rubber lining, which I doubt is repairable.
(Before the stripes were installed)

Sirius antenna (on the roof between the red stripes)

This is the gps antenna

Edit: I reposted this in the interior section. Moderators, please delete this post.
Thank you.

I use to be an installer for 8 years before "retiring" and I have done numerous installs of sat radio antennas inside the vehicle due to customers wishes. You have two options, put the antenna next to the nav antenna on the dash, or put it inside on the rear decklid where nobody will notice. It will work fine, you may get an interuption here and there but it will work 99% of the time.
Its pretty easy to remove the antenna, just pull the wire out of the weatherseal carfully and follow it all the way back into the car, then re-route the antenna inside where ever you want it to be.

What they should have done before the install was discuss with you the locations of the attenna's. It does not look bad there but i would have put it inside. I wonder why they put one inside and one out.
