Seemingly dead Shaker 500 Head Unit?

I searched the forum for a bit and came across this post with similar symptoms as mine.

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?p=5596251

The only difference is that my windows do not work now which I checked after I read the second post in that thread.

I've checked all the fuses pertaining to the radio and they all checked out.

Thanks for the help!

did you try taking the radio out and disconnecting it and reconnecting it, i guess to try and see if something wacky is going on. i know for a fact that some manufacturers with there amps, that one way to see if a amp is faulty is to disconnect all the connections and reconnects to diagnose if something is shorting out. so maybe try disconnecting and connecting some connectors to see if you can reset the radio and come to a conclusion if something is shorting out the radio. but thats just my 2 cents.

good luck buddy.

There are many possible fuses sjb 6 & 20, and bec 5,18,14,56 which are the underhood i believe. I would also just unhook the battery as stated and see if that helps. You could also pull the radio and test the Light green/Violet, Gray/Yellow, and red/black wires for 12v and the black/orange for ground.

Yeah it was hit or miss but fords been using that same radio in just about all their vehicles since 05 so you are going to get some bad ones from time to time.
