Anyone hear anything about SVT?
Is SVT dead? I haven't heard anything from them and have read a few articles on the fact that the original executives and designers have have left the company.
I don't know the future plans however Ford's website had an article saying that the SVT line was shut down in Nov. 06 right after the gt500 launch. Saying lack of production had alot to do with it however the head designer/engineer cant remember the name right now is still with the company.
I think they will either reinstate SVT or come up with a new specialty line, such as when they changed SVO to SVT, once the company becomes more financially stable and sure of future plans.

Former Chief Engineer Jay O'Connell left and went to Rahal/Letterman Racing, and they named a new SVT Chief Engineer to replace him. This happened within the last 6-8 weeks, so SVT is still alive.
Although this is almost a year old its an interesting article, I'm sure allot has changed since it was written so don't take it at face value.
