The only picture I can find is the one from the Ford site with the girl in the lime V6. The car looks good with the 'Z' style fold down, just wanted to see what the boot looks like. Also, how hard is it to install? Thanks. eace:

Ford did the drop top right this time... it folds in a Z pattern.. so the forward part of the roof is what is on top, and that part is hard. So it is almost like it has a boot. I have been as fast as 110 and the top doesn't even budge.

The soft boot is very easy to put in, and it makes it looks so smooth... I love the way the car looks...

Go to a dealer with a vert on the lot and ask them to put one on. I did and was glad.

To me, the boot was time consuming to put on. I have a '91 Miata with a nice black vinyl boot which is easy to install, but I very rarely bother to put it on (and the folded top doesn't look NEARLY as good as on the 'Stang.

Didn't like the look of the soft black foam like material either.

My opinion, not worth the $100. The folded top looks great.

The boot was easy to put on and remove and stays secure on the car. It came with instructions on how to fold it but I never could get it folded right.

It takes alot of room up in the trunk when stored.

You can store it where the top folds down into behind the seats. You just have to remember that it is there before dropping the top.

I'm everywhere, I'm everywhere! hah...

I havn't timed it, but a couple of minutes generally is how long it takes me... it has 4 clips that slip under the edging and the two "arm" pieces slide into place pretty easy.

Yeah that should work when I'm carrying stuff in the trunk and the kid in the back seat.

One of those never thought of that moments.

A hard boot would have been nice! I have a '96 BMW 328ic that has the hard cover as part of the convertible top. Other companies have engineered this in their convertibles and the 2006 Volvo has a hardtop convertible. I can only assume Ford deemed it too expensive to make but it would have been a classy upgrade to the manual soft boot. By the way, I ordered a soft boot with the '05 being built next week.
