Anyone have any problems changing plugs?

I have a 04 F150 with the 5.4 3 valve engine. Some of you may know that the plugs on that engine can break or sepparate when being removed. There is a TSB on this to deal with the difficulty removing them.

I am wondering if our 4.6 engines have the same plug and / or designed head? If so, you might find this thread from a F150 forum very interesting. http://www.f150online.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=301329

I am very curious because if that is the case, I will be attempting to remove my plugs from my Mustang and get some antiseize on them ASAP!!

I changed mine at about 23k mi to go to a lower heat range and they don't come from the factory with any anti-seize on them. Any body who waits for the 100k mi to replace them is going to have a hard time getting them out ...

If changing the plugs the first time is that hard, Id just take it somewhere. I certaintly dont wanna try it and break the thing in half...we had that happen in a car one time before. It was not cool. We ended up putting that car aside for a while, and eventually had to take the block apart and clean it. The whole spark plug busted from threads down...it was an older car, and I still cant figure out how it happened.
