Arrow Anyone elses Mustang do this? HVAC...

I noticed yesterday that if I hit the recycle air button and then later change the fan speed, it turns itself off. Also, if i set my controls to just defrost, not defrost/feet it won't turn on. Is this normal?

no my '07 does not do that at all. Fan speed changes only change the fan speed and changing the mod does not turn anything off unless I switch it to off.

Mine just decides that it wants to turn off the recycle on its own. Same with my seat warmers. Thats my biggest gripe about this car so far along with the lack of an trunk release button inside the car.

If I turn recycle on, it stays on unless I switch to one of the two defrost positions. From what I understand, that is normal.

Just read the manual - looks like everything is fine!

4. Recirculation control : Press to activate/deactivate air
recirculation in cabin. Recirculated air may reduce the amount of time to
cool down the interior of the vehicle and may also help reduce undesired
exterior odors from reaching the interior of the vehicle. Recirculation
engages automatically with selection of MAX A/C or can be engaged
manually in any other mode selection except (defrost).
Recirculation may turn off automatically in all airflow selections except
MAX A/C.
