Anyone considered just buying in Canada?

I was just in Calgary, Alberta over the holidays and I stopped by my Ford Dealership to talk mustangs(and test drive a windviel GT). Anyway, I noticed a lot of people on this board are waiting months and months for their mustangs. So I thought I would let you know that Metro Ford in Calgary has no fewer then 12 GT's on the lot right now. The Edmonton Healy Ford has 7 parked outside and I saw a few more inside. Some even have IUP so I assume they have been there for a long time and are just not being sold. Now I know Calgary/Edmonton are a little far to go but I assume most if not all Canadian Ford dealers have plenty of cars for sale.
I just thought I would let anyone close to the border know that they may be able to get a car right away in Canada. Some of my friends in Michigan buy cars in Canada on a regular basis.

Sure they are available, but you will be spending about $2000 over the msrp in the states

Then consider, you have to pay canadian taxes when you buy in Canada, then have to pay the taxes on it when you bring it back into the states and register the car there( duty fees) . Also remember you will have km/h on the speedometer, not MPH .
It would have been a good idea two years ago when $10,000 US dollars = $15,530 canadian. But with the falling US dollar the exchange rate is about $11,800 Canadian dollars for $10,000 US dollars nowadays . Approx.
