Any well known problems with 4.0?

I found a really nice 2007 Mustang 4.0L for sale.
I'll take it for a test drive in the next few days.

Are there any well known problems with 4.0 or anything that I should know about? I had a pretty good experience with my current '00 Mustang 3.8. I had it since 2001 and I never had any major problems.

Hey Zoran,
The 4.0L is a great car. Had mine for little over a year now (its a '05) and I had zero problems.

The 4.0 is a solid engine, no issues, will last a long time.

Thanks everyone.

I'll take a Mustang for a test drive tomorrow. If I like it, I'll probably buy it.

Only problem with the 4.0 is that it's missing 2 cylinders.

C'mon, someone had to say it. OK seriously, it's a good engine.

The only known problem with the 4.0 is that there is clinical evidence that shows that drivers have increased levels of estrogen, about 80% higher than placebo

Don't listen to negative nancy. He couldn't control himself with the V8 and got pulled over by cops

may be missing 2 cylinders, but a turbo or a few power adders can put us gts to shame, just not mine....

I thought the 4.0 stangs were on some sort of a unsatisfied customer list. The top 10 worst list or something like that. I'll have to see if I can find it

I thoroughly enjoyed my 4.0. If they made after market rods for it, I'd still have one under the hood. The 4.0 with a turbo, it makes a nice low 12 high 11 second car. Thats pretty stout in my opinion.
