Question Any hints on 0% / 72 months

Just wondering if any of you guys "in the know" might know of any better incentives for '07's this summer.

Well, last time they had the 0% for 72, it was just prior to Labor Day.
I recall hunting for a Mustang GT Premium 5 Speed both Friday & Saturday Labor Day Weekend.

I didn't have much luck. Either all the cars were sold or other dealers didn't want to trade.
I went to three Ford Dealers. Only one would work with me. I live in Ohio, and he called dealers in several other states looking for what I wanted.
We went through a list of like 20-40 GT's. No Luck.

The Dealership I was at had a GT Premium 5 speed, but it was Screaming Yellow. I hate Yellow cars!(sorry yellow GT Owners). So I passed.
But, there were a ton of automatic GT's.

So I continue to wait.

If Ford has that Special again, I suggest acting on it quickly, or you will be left out in the cold like I was last year.

Current incentives go through July. I'd calculate the chances of 0% for 72 months on a Mustang GT this year, but it doesn't have enough numbers below the decimal point. I'm thinkin somewhere around .0000000000000000004 % chance, being an optimist and all....

Wow I was off on that one

We are selling bunches of them. GT convertibles, normal stock this year, about 25-30, current inventory, 4. Next two coming this week are already sold.

I jumped on the 0/72 last year, I was going to order one about that time anyway, so I just couldn't pass it up. I called around and found the car I wanted about 90 miles away.

Loaded GT Premium with an extended warranty for less then $400/month was to good to pass up.

Thats how I got my car, I just bought 6 months earlier a 04 Mustang GT, but couldnt pass up on the 0/72 and also got a very good price, I really enjoy seeing my payments go straight towards the car, and no interest to any bank, dealer, etc.

I just took the 4.9 and will probably pay it off in 3 years, I just make a double payment every other month. Again, it aint going to happen, waiting on it will have you buying a new 08 with no rate or rebate just in time for winter...

I traded my 05 GT Deluxe coupe for an 06 GT Premium Vert last year when they had 0/72. The car was a full $7500 more on the sticker than my 05, and my payments only went up $7. Plus I got rid of all the interest I was paying on my 05. Not to mention that I now have the vert and the red leather that I wanted.

I got the 0/72 when I bought my '06 last Labor Day. Fortunately my dealer was willing to accept my X-plan in addition and do a dealer trade since the car I wanted was at a dealer ~90 miles away. I got an automatic, though. I'm not sure anyone would have let a stick go at that price.

To the OP, I'm guessing your best shot will be again this Labor Day. But be prepared to act fast. They'll sell quickly.

Do you think there is going to be any incentives on the 08's when they come out Kevin? Or do we have to wait?

I was thinking about a Cherry Red 08 GT, but the way I want it would probably cost around 30 Grand or more. Too much money!

I got my Mustang on a 0%/72 month financing deal last August. In my opinion it was the only way I could get my Mustang without having to pay high finance charges. I hope Ford does it again, if they do I might have to think about getting a 2nd Mustang.

0 for 72

Except for May, Ford is having a bad Mustang year in terms of sales numbers. With gas so high, sales down for the year, my guess is you might see it back again.

That's what I was hoping for too!

Gas might go higher this summer then last, but so far in the last week gas prices have gone done by a nickel a gallon....

Higher gas prices mean better deals on Mustangs!
