GT:500SS? As in Super Sport? I havent heard of that one yet, sounds like they're taking a page out of GM's book.

I would say 6 models. V6, GT, and GT500, in coupe or convertible. All others are just options or derivative packages and do not IMO create new models. Most are totally cool, just not a model change.

The factory ones pony/CS/wip are packages more then models. I agree with V6/GT/GT500. I don't consider anything aftermarket other then the Shelby GT as an actual model line.

I (mostly) agree. Its a real old debate, when does an option package change enough that it makes the car a different model? It gets muddier when you consider that a lot of the pieces can be optioned out on lower levels...iirc, there was a stink raised when the pony package on the New Edges gave the V6s the look of the GT...its the happiness of the driver that counts...

I made my own Mach 1 inspired model since I asume Ford will spend most of their time making new variants of Shelby inspired models. Obviously there isn't enough already. And don't forget the dealer mark up too. Ford will probably make a similar Mach 1 or Boss style package later and charge thousands more that it would be worth like the Shelby GT package. I would rather make my own than have someone else make it and overcharge me. For that matter I would rather buy a real '69-'70 Boss or Mach 1 for that kind of money and have the real deal. The performance and exterior style parts are already out there so buy the parts and do it yourself and use the money you save for back tires and speeding tickets. I would never buy a collector model of anything and be constantly worrying about damaging the value everytime I drive it. I already have one of them and sometime it can be a pain. Besides older collector cars are highly valued because of their rarity of numbers produced. 5000+ units of a model isn't rare regardless if someone now wants to pay $20 grand over sticker because of a special badge on the fender. Now 500 or 1000 units is rare and would probably be a wise "investment" car but not a "fun to drive and do burnouts" car.

I forgot my digital camera so I stopped at wal mart and picked up a disposible camera on the way there and as soon a I get them developed I will post them. I got a few GT500s, a Ford GT and a few modded S197 Mustang GTs but I took mostly '67s-'70s models. The Somernites website has posted a few pics in the gallery section from the cruise.

Hate to give the bad news, but this is what the bullitt has:
2008.5 Mustang Bullitt

Performance Modifications
FR Power Pack ~ 312HP
Shock/Strut Tuning
Strut Tower Brace
Upgraded Steering System
Red Brake Calipers
3:73 Axle Ratio
X-Pipe Exhaust w/Bright Exhaust Tips

Interior Actions
Unique Sport Seating
Unique Sill Plate
Bright Metal Trim & Unique Shifter

Exterior Actions
Available In Highland Green Or Black
Unique Grill V6 Style (w/o Fog Lamps)
Rear Faux Gas Cap w/Bullitt Logo
Cap Surround Painted Charcoal Gray
18" Bullitt Style Wheel
Red Brake Calipers

Nothing to lose sleep over. If only the bullitt had that 4.6 4v DOHC engine with 400hp N/A.But ford had to go cheap with it and use off the shelf parts once again. All show, almost no go,as usual.
