Stopped by a Ford dealer in Lafayette, Indiana. They had a Windveil Blue GT with an AT on the showroom floor. And two Torch Red GTs on the lot.

One was a 5 spd. I took it out for a 10 minute run. Roads were wet.

I won't go into a lot of details that other test drivers have already posted, but...

It was incredible. Everything I thought it would be. A very well balanced car.

The sound level was just right. Fit and finish were excellent.

A lot of bang-for-the-buck. Everything the Mustang was meant to be. Fun.

Ford did not just hit a home run. They knocked the ball out of the park.

I will wait for the winter to pass, and then have some real fun.

After I think about it now, the test drive can be summed up in three words...

Viagra on wheels.

Hmmm maybe now I'm beginning to understand those warnings about needing emergency attention after 4 hrs!!!!

I also got to take my first GT test drive last night as well. This was a redfire with ICAP, 5 manual and Shaker 1000. I brought my wife and 2 teenage sons along for the ride - our first ride with a 5 spd manual tranny. This car is nothing less than AWESOME!!!

The difference between this new Mustang GT and prior Mustangs (or other Ford products) is akin to the difference between the 2004 Boston Red Sox and prior Sox teams!!!!!!!!!!
