Another rattling sound thread
I keep hearing a rattling sound comming from the passenger side towards the middle and front half of the car. It usually starts when the car reaches hwy speeds. I do have flowmaster 40 series and I wonder if that is what is causing the rattling sound. The U bolts where tight.

Well, if it sounds like it's coming form under the car, the best way to check is to get under and start banging around on various things with your hand. I'd check all bolts in the exhaust, not just specific ones including factory bolts and nuts.

I couldn't find anything loose. I bought the car to a mechanic for a quick look. He did duplicate the sound. He looked underneath and he couldn't find anything. He suggested I take it to the dealer. Could be something with the brakes or suspension.

I took the car to the dealer yesterday for the recall and addressed the noise. They could not duplicate sound. Today I took it to a different dealer. The service adviser took a ride with me. We both heard the noise. Anyways, the noise was coming from the grille. The last dealer replaced a burnout bulb in the foglight, but apparently did not put all the clips back in.
