Yep, I was concerned about that statement as well, but I talked to the guy, Al, especially after what Chaos05 went through. Al told me that he would take back any product people weren't satisfied with. He offered this to Chaos05, but he chose to sell them instead.

That is just a CYA type of thing. I had an issue with mine, and they shipped another set out right away. It did have to talk to Scott to make it happen, but it did nevertheless. Excellent service from these guys, and they even packaged mine up with extra paper and bubble wrap to insure a safe delivery. They also gave me every piece of documentation on these hood struts, since the first set didn't include directions, or the hood struts!
I have them on now and I love them. I just need nicer weather so I can take some pics...
EDIT: Disregard this entire post. I put it under the wrong thread. Sorry guys!

I'm Steaming mad!!! BE CAREFUL when tightening them down too much. I installed these lifts and they worked great for a full day. By the second day, I noticed the center of the hood on the drivers side was raised a little. I opened the hood and the brackets had rotated on the bolts causing the lifts to be miss aligned now. Ok, I figured maybe the bolts just needed to be a little tighter... Well I tightened the first bolt just a little more and SNAP! The bolt broke off in the fender. I ripped those pieces of crap out right away, but now what do I do about the broken bolt in my car? I think I'm gonna go with the MRT lifts, they look better and don't look like they would have the same issue.

I'm going to try an extractor to get the bolt out tomorrow morning. Man I'm pissed! I guess I used to much force on the bottom bolt. I'm not ready to give up on the whole thing yet. :bang:

Same here, no problems. Mine have been on a little over 6 weeks and I have had no problems. When the hood was put on after painting there was no problems either.
i finally installed mine....no problems, but the passenger side was a little harder to line up. I actually stripped a body bolt. I didn't realize the inner fender wasn't lined up properly. :bang: but....other than that it's great
I began having problems with the brackets on the hood trying to spin. I could't get em tight enough. I went to the hardware store and put lock washers (the ones that look like gears) on each one (between the bracket and the factory hood bracket) No spinning now.......they stay in place great!
 I likewise had trouble with the passenger side fender bolt setup. Plate spinning then when tightening more the fender bolt stripped. Went next day to hardware store and got a matching metal screw (same size hex head) with slightly larger threads. Added a matching flat washer, and tightened again. This time it all worked as it should. I would like the hood to raise higher (as high as the prop rod used to hold it), but other than the fender bolt issue the struts went on and work within reasonable parameters. I did paint the metal gloss black to match the car, and have been satisfied with the look. I finished installing yesterday afternoon, and cold weather (for the south)
came in, so we'll see in a week how they are doing.

Finally installed mine today. Only took a few minutes and they work great. Hood opens with no problems and closes the same. I'll advise if I run into problems, but for now they seem to work as advertised. Very happy!!!
