Do brats count? If so count me in. Lived in AFB housing for about
10 years.
I remember how much fun it was as a kid to lie in bed at night and shoot roaches off the ceiling with rubber bands.
Man...those were the days!!!

Born at Castle AFB in Atwater (Merced), California
(I think CLinton killed that base didnt he?) then I
moved to Dyess AFB in Abilene Texas when I was 5.
Stayed there till I moved further south for College.

I'm assigned to QA for Ammo. Talked to Mil Car sales and there are no discounts on the Mustang right now. Did you get any advantage when you bought yours through them? Just wondering if I should order now or take my chances with an '07 off the lot when I get back next October? Any info would be appreciated.

You should be eligible for a $500.00 military discount. Ask for Troy at AAFES, he has been pretty straight with me. As far as getting one off the lot....read these forums. Most folks have to order theirs and they seem to be paying more than my deal. I went back on my mid tour to California and the Mustang GTs were $10000.00 over MSRP. Be aware that you will still pay taxes if you take delivery in the states. Buying a car through AAFES will save you some money. It may not be the absolute best deal going but it certainly isn't bad and you don't have to hassle with looking around for the exact car you want.. I'll be picking mine up pretty much the same week I get back to Beale in November.
.
Give me a call if you have questions. I'm the Specialist Section Chief in the 36 AMU. Ask for MSgt Brophy 4-2649.

Getting mine in about two weeks and bought it through Mil Car Sales. Ford stopped offering the $500 Mil discount back in Jul/Aug. But, I got her for $770 under MSRP and about $200 less on all the options. So almost a grand under MSRP. For example, I got the Fanblades which run $825 for $760. All the options are discounted. Granted, I'm paying around $2000+ for shipping to Germany (to include the $695 everyone pays), but hey, you wanna play you gotta pay. And as mentioned by Brophy, do remember the TTL when you pick her up in the CONUS or ship her to the CONUS after taking delivery overseas.

Another plus for Mil Car Sales is they don't deal with allocations (to the best of my knowledge, could be wrong). There's people that ordered '05s from the lot and got bumped to '06 and are still waiting. I placed my order around 1 Aug and she got built 15 Sep. Maybe it will get better in '06. Also let me know if you have any questions.

You All Stay Safe!!!!

They honor the AMerican Quarter Horse $500.00, So I got a 1,500 in discount/rebates(they offered a 500 rebate if you ordered before Aug) I paid 26464. check sig for details. I would buy through them.(also I saw a used 05 for 32k and change coupe/auto tha was about it; they had a WD and MG) and they still add 3k over invoice on '06's

2W1 Weapons Loader at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho with a Legend Lime 2006 Stang. 4.0L Version.

I thought it was IYAAYAS? Is IYAOYAS the navy version? Either way, if you aint Ammo, you're waiting on them.

Thanks to everyone for the info. I will go ask for Troy. I wasn't thinking about the dealer mark-up by waiting till I got back.
No matter IYAAYAS or IYAOYAS we still make it happen. It's good to see multi services on here. Waiting on Ammo, no, never!!
