adding options
this morning i went to my local dealership and they had a silver gt. the problem was that it didnt have the iup and told him i want one with the iup. he then told me that they could order it and install it. also the bumber from the back was scrathed and he told me that they would have to order another one. the question is, would it be a good idea to let the dealership install the options? also would the bumber come already painted from factory with the right color?
IUP they can't add no matter what they tell you. The bumper would be painted at the dealership but the truth is if it has scratches they will just sand them out and shoot the bumper and tell you it is a new one. Stay away from this guy.
It would be impractical to change the door panels, steering wheel, instrument cluster etc..... And the cost would be completely out of line with the cost of the factory option.
The dealer is probably planning to throw on some aftermarket aluminum trim to get you to buy that car. Don't do it, you'll be disappointed if your expectation was to have IUP.

If it was just the aluminum trim that's one thing...but IUP includes MyColor, the Message Center, 2 additional gauges, a leather wrapped steering wheel...
