1200 miles

Since it's been ungodly hot here the last couple days, I've been using my AC a lot more than usual. I've also noticed the AC clutch noise more than usual... You know, the "click" of it engaging and disengaging. It SEEMS louder than usual to me, but I don't know. Do you guys notice this in your cars too? Or should I be concerned?

I notice it too if I don't have the radio on too loud. Kind of annoying that they can't make one that is not so noisy.

I just wanted some reassurance that it's not just my car.

The AC clutch was noisy on my 02 as well. It must just be a ford or mustang thing.

Mine clicks very loudly. I complained about to my dealer twice and both times the report was "normal". Well, it's a lot louder than on my Focus and very annoying with the top down. Even if the AC is not on, it still clicks if you're using the dash vents because the compressor still cycles.

Yes very noisy. I thought something was wrong as well, until the guys here said it was normal.

Yep, my car does it too. My ride only has 800 miles on it and I noticed it from day one. But my AC blows ice cold so it must be normal.
