9500i

I spent my tax stimulus check on a new Escort 9500i with GPS. This is one sweet little unit. No more false alerts and the GPS feature lets you mark known speed traps and gives you advance warning. It even verbally announces the band it has detected. I had an Escort Solo S2 that they took in trade and gave me $80 for.

It is a little pricey, but I figure with all the bells and whistles it would be worth it. And with the tax refund and trade-in allowance, it only cost about $120 out of pocket.

I've been using one for the past few months and it's the best radar detector I've ever used by FAR. I've used all the high end ones at some point.

That is really nice nice and I use to run a radar detctor. However, with the new technology and it seems that the cheaper (Cobra, BEL, ETC...) ones don't perform very well, I just slow down and save myself 500 bux...

Sadly, they are illegal here in the People's Republic of Virginia.

Buy it anyway, It is supposed to be invisible to the Spectre RDD (Radar detector- detector)

My thinking regardless of the law, If the "man" can watch me with new technology, I should have the right to know that "tha man" is watching with my own technology.

Besides we all know that traffic enforcement is all about $$$$, it has nothing to do whatsoever with law enforcement.

But is it invisible to the naked eye?

Tinted windows my friend, the dark tint I have makes it difficult to clearly identify anything.

Black glass, mostly black interior, black radar detector, yada yada, yada.

Wiring discreetly helps a great deal, intstead of plugging into the lighter.
