One time disable
If at any time the driver/front passenger quickly buckles then unbuckles
the BeltMinder feature for that seating position, the BeltMinder is
disabled for the current ignition cycle. The BeltMinder feature will
re-enable during the same ignition cycle if the occupant buckles and
remains buckled for approximately 30 seconds. Confirmation is not given
for the one time disable.
Deactivating/activating the BeltMinder feature
The driver and front passenger BeltMinder are
deactivated/activated independently. When deactivating/activating
one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this will
terminate the process.
Read steps 1 - 4 thoroughly before proceeding with the
deactivation/activation programming procedure.
Note: The driver and front passenger BeltMinder features must be
disabled/enabled separately. Both cannot be disable/enabled during the
same key cycle.
The driver and front passenger BeltMinder features can be
deactivated/activated by performing the following procedure:
Before following the procedure, make sure that:
• The parking brake is set
• The gearshift is in P (Park) (automatic transmission)
• The ignition switch is in the OFF position
• The driver and front passenger safety belts are unbuckled

To reduce the risk of injury, do not deactivate/activate the Belt

I dont have my Stang yet but I have read this before in other threads, a chime that goes off when you exceed 70 mph, is it because of the speed (if this is true) or is it because of like just mentioned someone taking off their seatbelt, that would be so annoying if it went off because of speed.

I agree. Is it the law to wear seatbelts in every state or state specific. Regardless, it's pretty silly to not wear one. You know, you really don't loose too many cool points for wearing one. I'd have to agree with M1Rifle!

From the age of 15-1/2, as a driver I always wore my seatbelt on public roads.
One day when I was 17, screwing around in an empty parking lot in my '66 2+2, I was starting a donut, and while the rear end was swinging around, all of a sudden it got traction (rough asphalt surface).
Well, the CAR stopped swinging, but I was thrown in the direction I was rotating, which means I ended up with my butt in the passenger seat, legs over the hump in the drivers well, and the car was still running and chugging along at just above idle towards friends and their cars.
I got the car out of gear, but right then and there I learned that seat belts are an important part of driver control, not just injury avoidance.

The one flaw in my GT is that the passenger side belt retractor won't let the belt extend. So every time I have a passenger the chime goes off, and I can't disable it because the belt won't extend. The dealer has a new retractor on order.
Fortunately, one of my coworkers figured out that you could extend the seat belt by pulling it in a particular direction, so there is a workaround.

M1 I hate to bust you baloon but MY GT has a 70 MPH as well as a back up chime and I do use a seat belt but my dog does not. Be sure to let us know when you get yours and can speak with some authority then I will listen.

I've had this happen. Little kids make it go. It also senses the weight of the passenger and disables the airbag automatically based on the weight in the seat. Pretty F'in cool I must say.
