Thumbs up

My dealer said that the Military Discount is not currently available on the 2005 Mustangs. :bang:

Anyone have any info to confirm or combat this statement?

I was just assuming that I would be getting it, for the past two months, so I'm a little floored that I will not be getting it now.

Anyone recieve this discount yet?

The dealer is correct. The only rebates are for lease loyalty, early bird lease termination and of course AQHA.

my dealer said that probably because the car is so new the codes have not been loaded in the computer. So he could not get me the AQHA rebate right away. He did however take a photocopy of my member card and said he would keep trying and then i would probably get a check in the mail. And of course i will follow up and keep on him.

But Karpro, is there anything special i can tell him to do to get the rebate through?

you join the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) $30 i think. You can do it online. You need to be a member for at least 30 days before delivery.

I think the Military Discount is only available for those ordering from overseas thru ENCS. I got my $1000 off, I ordered last summer.

I haven't heard of anything about this. Do you have a link, or any more info describing this. My dealer never said anything about this to me.

All he needs to do is run a VINCENT report, it will be on there and then just claim it for you. The VINCENT is Ford's vin specific incentive report that lists all eligible rebates.

I'm in the military as well, and instead of just hoping that the military discount would be instated on the 05 stang, I just ponied up the 30 bux to become a member of AQHA and so at the least I'm getting 470 off the price of the 05.

:flag2: Thanks for your service to our country.

B) Active duty and retired military are eligable and should join Disabled American Vetrans (DAV.org).

DAV offers X-Plan to their members.
:worship: Find a dealer that accepts the X-Plan.
Will saved you a couple of grand you can spend on goodies after purchasing your American Ledgend.

I contacted DAV, as I am on active duty. They said you had to be disabled to join, I'm not ,so I didn't.

Became a member of EAA instead. I get the X-Plan after 1 full year of membership (next Sep). Works for me since I wasn't going to buy until 06 anyway.

First may i say thanks to all members of the US and canadain military.

Dear ford:

Isn't it nice to live in a free country where you can build and sell the cars that your design guys come up with.Where your company can make great sums of money and where you can reward your shareholders.Yes it sure is great to have the freedom to drive whereever we like, across our great lands.

So get with the program!!! Its because of the men and women of the military that we enjoy these freedoms!!! Now give them the discount and give it too them now!!!

Supposedly the $1000 rebate thru Exchange New Car Sales ended on Sept. 30th. Not to say they won't offer something else, but I don't think there is one at the moment.

Yeah, there isn't one atm for the 05. I will be getting mine for about 500 over invoice after the AQHA discount is taken into consideration. It's not exactly as good as X Plan pricing, but not bad for me just wheeling and dealing
