Sounds great to me since I just traded in my 2006 GT Coupe for the ordered GT/CS vert. I need some sunshine running through my hair !!

Did you get the $500 back from your dealer (Dealer cash) for your GT purchase? Also, did you use X-Plan and get another $500 back?

I didn't, I'm guessing you probably can't do the 500 cash back and the financing deal together. Usually they present it as either/ or. I didn't do x-plan on mine, but I DID get close to x-plan pricing (it was 100 under invoice). They cut me a great deal with no haggling required!
On the 06's, in lieu of the 1500 cashback they're also offering a great financing deal. I can't remember the exact number, but it was under 3% for 60 months. If you take advantage of it you don't get the 1500 though.

I went to the dealer yesterday and did receive the $500 rebate for using the x-plan. He also told me about the 5.9% financing. I didn't get the dealer incentive though. So using x-plan, I received a $2700 discount on my new 2007 GT/CS .

Using X-Plan, I got it for about $60 below invoice... not bad since no negotiating. Probably a similar savings to yours! Also, no doc fees and other little things the dealers like to throw in there. With X-Plan, they are not allowed to add these things in.
How long of a wait do you have? Mine should arrive hopefuly mid to late Sept.

I picked my 2007 GT Premium Vert up on August 2nd using X-Plan and got the $500 off. I was bummed that they wouldn't also let me use the $500 off Military discount that I thought I was going to get as well. But it did save me the $399 in doc fees that they were going to try and charge me. I told them they couldn't do that under the X-Plan, and after checking, they agreed with me, and didn't charge me any fees.

rebates and dealer cash
I've been talking with some dealers on both 06s and 07s - and this is what I understand.
2006s - $1500 rebates, good until 10/2/06
2007s - $500 dealer cash, good until 10/2/06. I don't think the dealer has to divulge this to you. It is just something he can through into the deal to make him look better.
Not sure on financing - as I'll be getting my money from another source. Hope this helps.

There is $500 DEALER cash on the 2007's that he/she can do whatever he/she wants with it. Most dealers keep it.
If you are an A/X plan buyer, you get the $500 A/X plan cash [instead of the regular dealer cash program.
You do not get both [at least in the midwest region]
