The last time I took my car in for that TSB: 08-4-3, It stopped making that sound a day before she went in. Of course the dealer couldn't reproduce the sound.

Will I catch flack with the intake and the tune?

You shouldn't as its not related to your mods.

Only on Engine driveabilty type concerns will they ask you to remove it. Usually most places don't burn you, and ask you to return to stock before they will service your vehicle under warranty.

Thanks again Andrew! I'm glad you found the rattle.

I'm actually thinking that I may have engine pinging after some further research. I'm already getting it resolved though

you know when I have my car set to factory tune and run regular cheap gas it does that , but if I install any tune 91 per/ 91 torqu / or 93 race with primium fuel , the engine is Happy.

Mine did the opposite. I took the intake and tune off just to have some warranty work done and it stopped.

it is the seperator plate/bell housing issue. it is a very common problem. here is the TSB:

I had this done and that rattle has gone away. Point your dealer to this TSB and everything should be ok. Car sounds great now.

I didn't know there was a TSB on this. Thanks, I will remove the 2 bolts that solved the problem and take it to Ford to have the plate replaced. While they are at it, I will get them to replace the clutch while the transmission is off
I called today and it is covered under the drivetrain warranty, I just have to show there is a rattle. SAAAAAWEEEET!

Great, I've printed out the TSB and will be taking it with me to my next service appointment also.

Thanks TMS!

Last night I undid the two bolts and slit some foam rubber tape between the plate and the bell-housing. Problem solved...for now. In the spring I'll send it to work with my neighbour, maybe when I have a drive-shaft or gears or something to install.

Thanks again guys...50 bucks well spent. Today I drove the car to work, and I actually enjoyed myself instead of being pissed off about some rattle...not to mention the Adrenalines sound really good--they're a bit deeper and louder than the GTAs at idle, and sound great when I open er up

Mine only had the rattle cold. It also had the missing bolts in the bottom that had been replaced. Well putting on my headers I removed the bolts and put a flat washer between plate and bellhousing. This has been the fix for mine since it has been out of warranty. When I need to replace the clutch is when I will update the separator plate.

I have an 07 gt auto with same issue.......dealer removed h pipe hangers, but another metalic sound exhists. This sound occours at 45mph and up and is not rpm related as was the hanger problem. It sounds as though a smaller pipe is in a larger pipe with out a clamp to stop rattle. The dealer can not hear the noise even when I test drive with him. The noise seems to be comming from just in front of driver's feet.

If the noise is coming from just in front of the passenger seat then I would have to say that a manifold bearing would be at fault here.
