From a molding/forming standpoint its easier/cheaper to put dimples in. And to someone else's credit, some places don't require front plates so it'd be tacky to have holes there. 350Z's and other similar sports cars just have dimples.
What's a "hood blanket"? The hood insulation?

There were definately holes in that bumper. [/b][/quote]
I hate to argue with you bro, but they they looked like dimples to me.
It feels like it has a good 1" more legroom than the SN-95 and as much if not more headroom. The seat is 1000 times more comfortable than a SN-95.
If you can fit in a SN-95, you will have room to spare in the 05.

I'm working on moving out of here right now. Northern FL is on my possible list. If I didn't have to pay the property taxes and state income tax that we have up here I could afford an '05 Stang right now.

I have my own business. The lower taxes, local labor cost, lower energy cost and much lower real estate taxes will be a great benefit to me.

Will your business work down there though? You will also have to charge less to get the same amount of business because the amount of income is lower down there.
I've done lots of research on moving my company down there, it really just breaks even. Though you do get the much nicer weather and such.

An inch more legroom is something I'm looking forward to. I'm 6'2'' with close to a 34" inseam. My legs have always been cramped in the SN-95, but I've always put up with it because I like Mustangs so much.
By the way, thanks for all the pics, video and info Dustin & V10.

With the seat all the way back, I could fully stretch out my legs and just rest my right foot on the gas pedal. The steering wheel and shifter were both in perfect position for me (35" sleeve).
Like you, my legs have always been cramped in my SN-95 and I put a Jack Roush shifter lever on it (the one that bends backwards like an old Hurst Shifter) so I could comfortably reach the gear shift.
On the 05, I ran the seat all the way up to its maximum hight and I still had plenty of head room.
Did I mention that the seats are 1000 times more comfortatble than SN-95.
Belive me, if you can "fit" into your SN-95, you will be comfortable in the 05.
Edit: One more thing, when sitting in the 05 I felt like I was pointing straight ahead, not angled to the left like you feel in the SN-95. The only thing that felt a little strange was that the steering wheel is very close to the dash (short column) but I'm sure that I'll get used to it.
The overall fell (size shape of the windshield, dash, etc) really reminded my of the 1967 Stang GT that I had many years ago. It was almost kind of scary when I first climbed in, I felt like I had a flashback and I was in that '67. But I can tell you in reality a 67 Mustang is not comfortable like the 05 felt.

That was great. I'm really concerned about the lefroom all though I'm four inches taller than you its mostly torso. Suprising actually minis and the Z4 is no problem, but my head was out the convertible top!!!11onetwo
I missed my pony drive day oh well I have to work to pay for it.

Great job Dustin. I got to Rodman's a liittle late 7pm and a lot of the vintage stangs were just leaving. I took a few pics myself and would like to share if anyone is interested. The color of the car looks even better in the photos than I thought seeing it in person. I have a zip file with the photos but being a newbie here I'm having some difficulty uploading. I can send someone the zip, and would be great if you could post them. I just need an email address. An to let you folks all know this car is for sure wicked pissa!

I got to sit in it for about 30 seconds at the L.A. Pony Drive event, so I didn't have time to check for legroom and steering wheel position. But based on those 30 seconds, I could tell it was a vast improvement, both ergonomically and aesthetically over the current Mustang.

Why do they crush the pre-production cars? Wouldn't it make sense to sell them instead? *shrugs*
