Heavy/bulky?

What car are you talking about.
The mouldings don't weigh much, nor are they heavy by ANY means...
They weigh less than a yard stick.

But yes, they prevent door dings...and my car thanks me for them.
But I won't put them on the 05 even if they were available.

Since I haven't even seen the dang moldings on the 05 I guess I was basing my statement on other moldings that I don't like. I hereby don't solemnly swear that I will never do this again.

Black cars hide the body lines of a car. The moldings should have been designed into the car like the 79-93, not an after thought to protect against door dinging idiots.

Jeeez. This is really disappointing because I have a Black V6 w/ manual coming my way... now it'll probably be a month later.

It's gonna be really hard to see auto V6s and GTs rolling around knowing mine isn't even on the darn assembly line due to some factory issue.

I hardly ever saw one that was straight on the Fox's from the factory. I wouldnt want a styling commitment made for door ding protectors i wouldnt want anyway.

Man those things are ugly, they were on the previous car and they look as ugly on the new one. And kind of useless too, since a) they are painted so they will damage as well from dinging and B) they are so thin that a door from another car will probably hit the bottom rocker panel earlier than the small strip therfore doing damage anyway.
