After going out for lunch today I remembered another dislike, Wheel Hop.

 

Likes:
Looks
Pony Package (sripe delete)
Sound of the V6 (in the car anyway)
Tight suspension

Dislikes:
Seats don't return to previous reclined position when entering rear seat
Keys hit my knee
Vinyl rear seats (how cheap is that?) - maybe no one would notice
Air blows up defrost in foot only position (noisy too)


That's 4 and 4.

I'm gonna go one step further - Likes, Dislikes and Wants:

Likes:

1. Retro influenced "Look" - not too retro like the Beetle.
2. Good performance for the money - 300HP under $30K.
3. Decent front seat room - especially compared with SN95's
4. Headroom better than my Grand Prix!
5. Stock exhaust is impressive - but I still want GTA's
6. LEGEND LIME is Awesome!

Dislikes:

1. Seatbelts not height adjustable...cuts across neck.
2. Seats don't return to previous position when entering rear seat
3. Squeak/rattles in the HVAC vent near the Driver's door.
4. Inadequate amount of storage in the interior - no overhead bins,etc.
5. Headrests don't adjust (no tilt - stuck with forward leaning)
6. Stock spoiler! Didn't order mine so I was stuck taking dealer stock.

Wants:

1. Taller shifter handle (and shorter throw) - closer to the hand position on the steering wheel.
2. More low end torque.
3. FRPP GTA exhaust - a little louder and better tips!
4. Spring/Summer weather!

 

Likes:

• Almost everything - sexy looks and styling
• sexy looks from other people
• great handling and power
• lots of mods available

Dislikes:

• Tons of road noise (clunks) and very rough ride
• Want a tighter geared automatic tranny
• Want memory for seat adjustments
• Mods empty my wallet faster than anything!

You don't like the small turn radius? Sooooo... You want it to turn like what?

 

LIKES: Over all exterior body styling, Interior layout, Ease of modifacation!..........Dislikes: Factory ride hight, 1" to high !, Poor quality of interior components, Engine wiring! looks like a drunk monkey in stalled it!, Engine bay paint and trunk! thin in area's !.......oops! thats four dislikes! and I had to make myself stop!

 

Likes - 1. Retro styling 2. Power 3. Aftermarket following Dislikes - 1. The drive by wire system, I wish this had the old tried and true throttle cable. 2. Brake fluid leak, the car is on its third model year and its still happening. 3. Ford's typical answer to everything when you bring your car in for something " Oh, thats normal"

Awww, c'mon. Plastic is plastic, right? How can anyone possibly label this interior as "cheap"?

 

Mines an 07 with only 60 miles so this list is subject to change.

1. Who designed the friggen seat belt arrangement???

1. The plastic vent covers, really standout with the IUP and chrome
2. All the idiots that try to race in their lawnmower sounding ricemobiles
3. Dealerships that won't order, or ones that can't submit an order to Ford after an entire month (took me 3 dealerships to get mine)

 

Could you be more specific on the key release rattle. I am wondering if that is what I have been hearing for a while now.

Would someone explain the wheel hop that people are talking about? As I understand it, it's a traction issue spawning from the solid rear and not a steering wheel issue like what I would refer to as bumpsteer on a fwd.

So this would only happen under hard accelleration, correct?

How is the steering feel on the mustang? Is it loose like a truck or tight and progressively responsive like on most newer cars?

This is a great thread for someone that is considering a mustang. I keep seeing the same things. It would be beneficial if you could weight the dislikes against each other to express how bad the dislike is.

Dislikes
1. Dash Rattle. This was fixed with some A pillar clips and I believe its a tsb.
2. E-Brake Cable Freezing and not releasing. Also a tsb but southern folks would never have this problem because it only happened in sub zero temps
3. The hood is soft. I had to have it repainted after a Logging truck kicked up a rock and it hit the hood leaving a 1.5 inch gouge in the Aluminum.

 

Well you've got to put in perspective that stallions do buck.
