I've been on the board since April or May just reading away. I decided not to preorder because of my height, and actually want to see if I fit comfortably in the new pony before I ordered.

So I stop by the dealer today and he says he is getting a fully loaded one in first week of October and price will be 29,900 and I thought that was just outrageous. I asked him what was included and he was very non specific. I don't mind paying a little over invoice, but adding up the options I don't think any of the 05s shouldbe that high.

Am I missing something?

Thanks guys,
Dennis.

Yeah, most dealers are getting one V6 and V8 in IL (USA) as demos... that's a fully loaded GT w. Auto tranny at full Inv. price

I should add that he did say it was manual, not auto...

I'm in WI, he said same thing, one V6, one GT...

Well, the pricing is out, and posted here. Do the math, figure out what invoice should be, and make him an offer! Many people here have agreements that are X-Plan pricing or similar, even without ADZX-plan qualifications.

Better yet, order a car from the fleet/internet dealer, he's a bit more likely to give you an "invoice-plus" pricing agreement than a showroom salesman.

Best of luck.

I ordered from an Internet sales manager and the best he can do is MSRP. Although in his last email he did add that he would minus any rebates that became available (which I doubt because it is the newest of the new).

I got a price over 30K for fully equipped Automatic GT. That includes delivery, but not taxes. Eeeouch!!

Oh well, I'm glad I've saved up!!

Earnhardt Ford actually had no clue what I was talking about when I tried to pre-order in August. The Internet sales manager there told me that I couldn't order until November. That's when I went to Five Star. Would have went to Sanderson, but that's too far.

At this time, the highest possible sticker price that you can make a 2005 Mustang GT coupe is $30,115, including delivery charge. This is for a GT Premium with EVERY available option.
