2010+ TPMS and 2008-9 cars?

OK, I think this has been asked before, but I cannot recall a definitive answer. My 08 GT has the TPMS sensors mounted on bands within the wheel. I understand if I get a new TPMS sensor, the car has to be "trained" to recognize it, not unlike training for a new key. I had to have that done for my wife's '08 Mountaineer when one of the band-mounted sensors failed and was replaced. My question has to do with the valve-mounted TPMS sensors on the new take-off wheels that are available from 2010 and 2011 Mustangs. Can the car recognize those as well, or are they on some different frequency or code or something?

2010 and up are totally different sensor designs and cannot be used in 07-09
