Dunno if anyone is planning any suspension mods for the spring, but tirerack.com is running a sale on Koni Shocks and Struts till June 30th.

Now that's hilarious. Has Koni ever filled their year long backorders yet before offering another sale???

Eh, that's the one downside I saw to this was that most items were on backorder with the earliest ship date being 3/19.

I'm keeping an eye on this sale. I've known about the backorder/delay on the S197 Koni Sport front struts, and hopefully they'll come in before the sale is over. They'll be worth the wait IMHO. I have Koni Sports on the Bullitt and have had them on another car in the past as well, and I plan on picking them up for my '08 Mustang and my Mini Cooper (I'll be getting the Koni FSD's for the Mini).

If the front Sports don't come in stock before June 30th, I'll either order STR.T fronts with Sport rears (and buy the Sport fronts later), or order a full set of Koni Sports, as long as the front's will be backordered with the sale price. I may give the FSD's a try on the Mustang if the front Sports don't come in though, I've known people with the Koni FSD's on other vehicles that spoke highly of them.

What are the FSDs - looks like they automatically adjust which sounds pretty cool.

Sam also has the Koni shock and struts on sale for $619 but dont think that includes shipping, though neither does tirerack.

I'd check out Sam Strano before going to the Tire Rack.

Yeah...good luck with this sale. I've been waiting on a set of Koni Sport Front Struts since last July. Koni still doesn't seem to know when they'll have any products available for anyone.

Why? I know who Sam is, I've had him in my car as an instructor at an Evolution School, but his price is $50 higher than Tire Rack, which is also a well respected company that promotes motorsports.

Has Sam provided any updates on Koni's lamo production failure on the sports?

I sent an email to Tire Rack and if you buy the Koni's from them within the sale period, they will honor the sale price even if they don't get them in stock until after the sale is over.

Thanks, that is good to know. I'll probably just hold out for the standard yellow Koni Sports.

Ive been waiting since June of last year for my Koni's fronts....Sam called me yesterday (I'm assuming about the shocks and options at this point) but I didnt get a chance to return the call till last night when they were closed. I'm hoping to talk to him today.

It is truly discouraging that Koni can't seem to get their act together. The Mustang is a mass-produced car, which represents large numbers of potential sales. No reasonable excuse suffices for their failure on this item. I emailed Koni yesterday to get a estimated date that the sport fronts would be available and the reply I recieved was "I have no idea when". I know that Sam Strano is really up about Konis, but if they can't get their act together on the Sports, I'm not gonna give them my money for some SRTs (just so I can have Konis on my car). I'll go with somebody else. I don't make a habit of rewarding incompetance.

Koni Yellows Update****

Talked with Sam today after missing his call a few days ago (I posted this a few days ago in same thread).

He just told me to my complete surprise....that Koni production of the shocks is back on line and expected to ship and be available for distribution in the next week or two.

Just thought I'd pass that along. I know I'm stoked!!

Thanks Sam!!

Nice to hear. Think this will get me motivated to order my fronts now that we have a solid time line.

I'll believe it when the UPS guy delivers them to me.
