I want a graphite interior with this package on a GT Deluxe coupe but would not want the seats to be black, just the door inserts and floor mats. On the order guide's first page where this option is mentioned, there is phrase saying "cloth or leather seats providing contrast in Graphite or Parchment interiors and aluminum pdeal covers." Does this mean that the seat color remains graphite for this particular interior color rather than being replaced with black?

Thanks for any help.

As far as Mustang interiors go, aren't "graphite" and "black" the same?

Tony, I'm fairly certain the seats are changed to black, as per the Order Guide.

According to the order guide for the V6/GT, the black cloth is listed there as an option to the Black Vinyl. The GT500 order guide shows only the black cloth top.

It's listed in the lower left-hand box at the bottom of page 7. MM is the code for the black vinyl top and CA for the black cloth.

Traditionally, only the Cobra has had the upgraded cloth top, and that's consistent with everything I've read thusfar and with the GT500 order guide. I really don't think that you're going to see the option of a cloth roof on a bread-and-butter V6 or GT vert. I know it shows it as an option, but I think it's a typo.

To me, that seems like too much black contrast...I hope it is not.

Page 1 on my 07 OG does not mention paint colors anywhere.

However, on page 2 it does metalic.
I'd say chances are that it's a mistake.

The 07 OG even says Performance White is "metalic" for the GT/CS and non metalic for other models. I somehow don't belive that the GS/CS will get different metalic white paint

As far as the seat colors go, the 07 OG says that the monochrome interiors are Dark Charcoal and the 2 tone are black & the 2nd color. However, it looks to me as if the 07 IG is full of errors, so who knows?

Yeah, I thought it would look great as metallic, but...
on the 2007 GT500 it shows it as non metallic.

Probably just a typo.

With all the other vehicles (including SUVs - and almost every performance oriented car I can think of) now available with an automatic trans. that either offers a separate shift gate for manually up \ down shifting and \ or paddles on the steering wheel for the same purpose, I am absolutely amazed that even the 2007 version of the Mustang GT does not offer that as standard or optional.

Bizarre.

This trans. – and its predecessor (I owned a Lincoln LS V8 Sport with a version of each) offered this feature in a package. And the T-Bird (same trans.) offered it as stand-alone option – for something like $150 or $200.

I find this truly unbelievable.

And it is a ‘show stopper’ – for me.

- Ray

Likely a lonely voice on this issue.

Well I am interested in adding factory heat to package to my seats in my 06 gt, so hopefully that will be possible. I always like factory stuff over aftermarket. Also I would really like to find out if the Sirius Satellite will be addable to the 06, as it states it takes either the shaker 500 or 1000 to add the satellite. I bet you use the aux button for the satellite configuration. Kevin when you find out anything on the part side of this let us know please.

You can just have your local upolstry place do that to your seats for less than getting new seats from Ford. It really shouldn't be an issue since you already have your car. If you were willing to give Ford that money -- give it to Katskin or someone similar. You will most likely get better materials as well.

I think our friendly but slightly lost, interior designers at Ford have gotten things a bit backwards with the Sport Appearance package (18M).

The contrast should be reversed.
eg.
- All Black Interior (like Red ICAP package)
- With Graphite Accent (floot mats, door inserts, etc).
- Black carpet
- Black seets, with the middle Mustang writing in Graphite.

And they should of thrown in a blue interior option.

both guides have many errors.
Note that the GT 500 OG does not say "metallic" for Vista Blue and Tungsten Grey.
So as far as Grabber Orange goes, until be see a paint chip or a real car, who knows?
Except that all of the original grabber colors were NOT metallic.

Yeah, I know Azure Blue wasn't metallic... figured GOrange wouldn't be either

I also noticed... the Spoiler Delete option was standard on teh V6 Coupe/Vert

Weird.
Would that mean its spoilerless...and that only the 'ducktail' new spoiler is used with the sport apperance package.
And the current spoiler is ONLY on the GT
