2005 & 2006 is 3/36,000 only ....

However ... if you bought a 2006 model off the lot after the 2007 models were introduced (July 14, 2006) ... you were given the 5/60,000 warranty but with a $100 deductible ....

Really, that seems odd to me, every car I purchased from ford has had 5 yr 60k, matter of fact ive never owned a car that had less, just more.

glad I got a used 05 that was certified pre owned, have 6 year 75k powertraind

No Fords came with a 5/60 warranty until after July 06.

There were a couple exceptions: '03-up Foci came with a 5yr/100k powertrain and Powerstroke trucks have a 5/100k engine-only warranty(both had btb 3/36).

When I bought my last new mustang in 1990 it had a 5yr/60K power train warranty , so I was surprised when I bought this one and it only had 3yr/36k ...

The date for the Powertrain warranty being in effect was July 14, 2006. Any 2006 & 2007 car/truck/suv sold on this date or later got it.

Why the 7/14/06 date for the '07's? I took delivery of my on '07 6/16/06. So if my '07 would have been delayed by a few weeks, I would have the extended powertrain warranty? But instead I don't?? What a crock that would be.

That was the date when the program started. For the 2006 models, it was a Ford ESP Powertrain that was added, for 2007 its a warranty. PM me your VIN and I can run an OASIS and check the warranty info, to confirm. Heck, some people bought cars a few days before the program and didn't get anything. Its been over a year since I read the brief from Ford. I'll be happy to check your VIN.
