This Ford document on stangsunleashed.com lists the 2007 Coupe weight at 3356lbs.

2005 manual GT coupe came in at 3483lbs according to many sources (other sources say 3425 and 3450lbs).

So is this a typo or did the 2007 manual GT coupe go on a diet and lose 69-127lbs?

 

I'm not certain but could the '07 weight be for the Deluxe coupe with no options while the other weights you mention are for Deluxe coupes with options or even a Premium coupe?

Not to add more fuel to the fire, but the shipping weight on my invoice says 3315.
'05 GT Deluxe manual. Only options are Shaker 500, IUP, Active Anti-Theft, & spolier delete.
I've attached a pdf copy of it.

 

So the 2007 weighs 41lbs more than the 05/06?

It could be possible. The 2007 model has additional stiffening to accomodate the GT500 drivetrain (firewall, transmission tunnel and frame rails). I would guess they thickened the metal, and that results in extra weight.

 

Yeah I was thinking the same thing after reading that thread and Stangnut's invoice weight. For some reason, Ford doesn't list the curb weight of the Mustang on the official website.

 

Looks like we'll have to "weight" for a Shelby to be built and then one of the dealers on here can take a look at the invoice. They are usually available about a week before the vehicle is built.
