Direct out of my July Motor Trend that came in the mail today. In the review of the GT500...."All 2007 Mustangs have reinforced bodies because of the GT500's extra power and torque. Selected panels are now thicker gauge steel, and extra welds have been placed on key seams and joints to improve rigidity."

 

That's good news, but I wonder what the weight difference will be with the thicker steel.

 

A little discussion here about it...

 

Stiffer is always better. So I'm told. (Behave yourselves) Not sure how it would be lighter then, without going to exotic materials.
