Well I am new to this site and find everyones happy with getting their orders in for a stang gt.
I had a order in on a 2006 Stang Gt in New Jersey with a X-Plan since June and I am Still C/U......
On labor weekend I called and checked many dealers out and only 3 out of maybe 75 dealers had GTs and the rest had V6s and nobody was selling it with a X-Plan.
Anyway My last phone call got me a dealer 40 mins away and the salesmanager said he will sell me the Stang Gt at INVOICE...
Took my time in getting there and 2 other wanted to look at the car but I told the Salesmanager that i will take the car(it was a sat).Very happy that the dealer did not screw me...
Sticker on 2006 Stang Gt was $30,125
Invoice $27,878

Well we are almost in OCT and in the NJ NY PA area there are really no GTs around and if there are they are going sticker or above.
I thought with the 2006 Shelby coming out in late spring that the GTs will come down on price, but i guess I am wrong because it looks like the Shelbys with be limited and most dealers will not see them .And so it looks like the 2006 Stang Gts are going to be like the 2005s Gts {not many being built}.I will say screw ordering them and if you can get a Stang Gt off a fords lot under Stick I would go for it...I am sure there are a few dealers on here that can get you the Stang Gts but Most cannot....................JohnnyT

I'm a regular reader of the Issues subforum and I haven't heard any real complaints about the manual transmission yet. What have you heard?

Edit: Oh yeah, congrats on the new car.

Thank yea Mr. Polk.........
I been hearing different storys about the Manuals on the 05s.....But I never had any problems with the manuals on my 2000 and 03 stang Gts.......
Thought by now ford would have a 6 speed manual,I know the GTOs have them.
Auotmatic is fine with me but I do miss the manual a tad bit lol.JohnnyT
