My 2006 Mustang V6 has the driving lights in the grill that are part of the Pony Package. My issue is that when the driving lights are on and you hit the high beams they go off. This, according to the manual is the way they as supposed to work. The problem is that when you encounter on coming traffic and you go back to low beam the driving lights come back on and sometime oncoming traffic thinks you have just turned on your high beams and they flash you back with their high beams. Other vehicles I own do not do this and leave the driving lights on even with the high beams so there is no question that you have turned off your high beams when you go to low beam.

Does anyone have any idea how to rewire this so the driving lights stay on regardless of high or low beam usage? Also do the GT lights work this way?

Yes, but I like to leave them on all the time. Even during the day for better visibility to other drivers. For some reason it is true that other drivers don’t see red cars all that well. This is the first red car I have owned and have really noticed this phenomenon. Also I drive a very curvy road at night on the way home and often come around corners to meet oncoming traffic. Having to turn off the driving lights every time you turn on the high beams just makes no sense to me.

Thanks for the response.

and this is an issue how? If they flash you when you turn your high beams off you should show them that those fogs/driving lights arent your highs. FLASH THEM!

The fogs go off when high beams are on to make them 50 state legal. Some state's laws require fogs to go off when highs are on. I'd check your state's laws before re-wiring. Could mean a ticket.
