Speaking to what Eleanor brought up, if you want something really confusing, look at the Ford GT, which has a mid-engine, and the intake is actually at the REAR of the car. The intake points the opposite direction from the belts.

See? That's why I ask, so I know after I find out. Now I know. (And am sorry for having to sound like a moron finding out) 
That was jmo-- Maybe I find it easy because I have spent wayyyyyyyy too much time under that hood filling, repairing and replacing stuff in the last year or so and I am used to it. I also don't think I have ever owned a RWD car.

Silly question?: HOW does the intake cover attach? I don't see any screws... does it snap-on or something?

(But what's the next step. 2007 Mustang Cobra w/ artificial intelligence? I hope not. If I were that computer, I'd one day realize what a fabulous car I'm controlling and just drive away. Until I run out of gas

Imagine getting a call from your Service Advisor, saying, "Your car has notified us that it will neeed new brake linings within the next two months. When would you like to schedule an appointmentr and a loaner car?"
