That stinks! That cover looks great! And strut bars = a good thing! I could understand not having an IRS for cost, but a sheetmeatal cover and steel bars? I'm sure that there will always be aftermarkets. B)

The strut bars look to be there, you just have to look closely as there are hidden by tubing, etc.
The engine cover has been gone for a long time, the aftermarket will have it for sure

I gotta play woman here-
Why is the engine in there backwards? I know every inch of my engine, and it is turned the exact opposite of this one.
Or do they come both ways?
Please don't kill me!

Throttle body and intake in the front and driveshaft/flywheel & tranny out the back.
FWD cars often have the engine rotated 90 degrees (one bank at the front and one at the rear of the engine compartment) because the tranny is placed to the side of the engine compartment.
For example, in this Probe GT (6 cylinder) which is FWD, you can see the spark plug wires for the three cylinders on the front bank. The tranny is on the right side of the engine at the bottom.

There will be a 300hp engine though. Is that important at all?????? Or is the cover more important?

I knew I would look like a fool if I asked!
Look, this is mine(not my car) Its a GM 3400 SFI Vee-sicks.
Question: On a RWD engine, is it more of a pain in the crack to work on? a FWD car you just reach in and deal with, its right there.

Yeap, It's Front Wheel Drive! The 05 and All Mustangs are Rear Wheel Drive. The Tower Braces are Not There either. I've seen it a couple times and they Took them Off. But as Others Have Said, There's Always the Aftermarket!

Just seems more focus (pardon the Ford pun) is on a piece of plastic and not the important things.

I just think that it looks better than the black intake tubes. Its plastic?
Strut bars are very functional and I do hope that it has some kind of strut bracing. (Although that is usually the first suspension upgrade people do anyway)

April, you're killing me here.......the engine is right there in both cases.
Is that opposed to a RWD engine where you DON'T "reach in there and deal with it"?
I would say overall a RWD car is easier to work on because the engine compartment is usually larger, the transmission and drivetrain are easier to get to and you don't have a bank at the rear of the engine compartment which can be a pain to access.
RWD setups are very reliable and simplier to repair IMO.
