2004 was a shorter production year since the mustang moved to a new plant. Production stopped in April or May I believe.

Production of the 2004 Mustang did end the first week of May, but Ford still has 25,000 2004 Mustangs still sitting on dealer lots, waiting for someone to buy them.
The reason why 04 Mustang sales are slow, is most customers know the 2005 will be out very soon and that's what they want. [/b][/quote]
sho got that right
Just a heads up for the Canucks that have ordered their 05s and are waiting for delivery. I certainly don't want to burst anyone's bubble and REALLY DO hope I've received information that'll change, but the latest word on Canadian shipping will be approximately mid November with each dealer in the country receiving at least one Mustang within a 72 hour period. I know that I along with many others have their fingers crossed that this tentative arrival date gets bumped up.

You know that FORD is always thinking and doesn't it appear that a lot of their cars 'SHOW UP" around major events that people watch on tv so that they can get the message out to the most people in the least amount of time.
What is the most current big event just beginning this week.... Major league playoffs. This shold attract a large following on tv and give ford and other companies a large audience to preview their new cars. I think that the mustangs will also show up during this event (and hopefully not the world series in a few weeks).
I had my dealer do a lookup for all the current "arrivals" throughout the whole country and he didn't show any 05 stangs coming in (that was monday)...
Most dealers are just telling their customers that the cars will arrive in nov/dec to basically shut them up....That way when they come in earlier they will have very happy customers. (my dealer told me this)...

John, good to hear from ya buddy....I was wondering what happened to you since we hadn't heard anything from you on the stangs being shipped. (who better to inform us than somebody that sees the lot every day).... Hope ya can get a pic on a truck.... Course don't mind me that I will believe it when I seeeees it...
Humming "train keeps a-rollin, all night long!!!" Sorry, don't mean to get y'alls hopes up, but its seems that there was a lot of activity outside the plant on the lot with a train of railcars moving out. I go that way most of the time and its the first time i've ever saw them moving railcars that early(5:30a.m.). Couldn't see what was in them, too dark, but could tell something was, saw reflectors in the light...could've been anything, but my gut feeling is that they loaded up some ponies to deliver to some well-deserving owners. Probably just wishful thinking but got to be optomistic, wife says so!!!
a GT in Redfire was scheduled today with an ETA of 10/6, thats today.
I would expect it in the next week probably.
This is a pre sold Mustang that I took an order for months ago.
when it arrives, photos will be taken and posted.
FYI, my location is Chattanooga, Tn.

Donna.....Have you been doing the "Dealer lot shuffle" ?
I did get good news about my financing though. The dealership got me 4.5% through a local bank. I was preapproved thru AAA for 4.54 which is not much difference, but more leg work involved. They needed one full business day to get the check ready and I want my car NOW, not another business day later. I was really hoping FMC was going to offer some good rate but my salesman said no.
This waiting game is killing me. Does your car show a ETA??
My last Staus sheet is dated 10/1. Shows TBD, however the dealer checked on his in-house system and shows "In transit". He says this is a not an unusual situation and "Assures" me its on the way.
I guess we must bwe patient B)
