I have been following this forum for awhile, and this is my first post. Its to say, IM CONFUSED! :scratch:

I just got off the phone with RSM Ford here in So Cal, where I have a GT on order. They are the most "in the know" dealership I have dealt with. They always get the most, current, best models in. They have a very special relationship with Steve Saleen, and Shaun, and even get prototypes before anyone else. They have two prototype 05s, a 500, and a GT. So, how is it that they are saying that the BUILD date for the majority of GTs is being pushed back again, that "ok to ship" meetings are nasty rumours, and pictures of GTs on transports are a joke?

They told me if I find a black/charcoal GT elsewhere with an earlier date, they will happily turn the sale over, and make sure they stick with my pricing. (I get A Plan) I dont think he is misleading me to try to keep the sale. He also said that most of the production cars that are coming out of the factory are V6s.

Can anyone explain this to me? First delivery date was supposed to be end of Sept, but now the stories vary from 10 days to 12 weeks?!?!?!?!

 

I spoke to two dealers today and was told that they are expecting their first Stangs any day now.

My Dealer had miss info. when my 05 Mustang was coming in now they said this some time week oh boy

 

BaDandy, what would be the purpose for lying to me... I mean, its a guaranteed sale for him if he gets it first... I would think that a sale would be a motivating factor. I could see him lying and saying that the car is going to be here SOONER than later, to keep my sale at his lot... But to lie and say its coming later?

I guess I will just have to keep hounding all the dealerships. The whole thing just doesnt make any sense to me.

"But, look at this great deal on a brand new '04!!"

 

Do dealerships really think that people are that pliable? In addition, he gets more money off the 05, as the 04s are going be dirt cheap with dealer incentive money.

OK....I just spoke to my salesman on Friday and I am going to call him again this morning. If anyone gets an In Trasit status it would be nice to report it!! I am keeping my fingers crossed.
