2005 Mustang Rims
#1
We're just days from production. Lots of people are looking to get their hands on a new 05 mustang. sooo if you have ordered ur stang, plan on getting one, or just fantasizing about one then post ur opinion.
i plan on getting a black 2005 GT with bullitt rims. the reason, because ive seen the new upgrade rims soooooooo much over the past few months they just dont phase me anymore. the bullitt rims r beginning to grow on me and i think thats what im gonna end up with. what do u think about a black gt with black bullitts for later down the road??

I like the retro theme of the 05 and I think the standard rims are consistent with that theme. So, that is what I ordered.

While I like bullitts, I've had them for the past few years on my '02 GT and want a change. I like the way the bullitts look better with the wider rubber on the current GT, than the thinner rubber of the '05. While the concept style wheels don't look great in pictures, they look very nice in person. These are the wheels I have ordered.

I'm actually waiting to get complete measurements of the wheels so I can order a set of mags, I don't like either wheel on this car. I also want to see how much room is in that back fender to see if I can fit 10s in there, otherwise I was gonna put 9s in the back and 8s up front. But thats still more than a month away. Step 1 is the stereo, because I'd rather spend $1000 on an Infinity system, than $1200 on 'Audiophile'

I don't like the "upgrade" rims at all since the first time I saw them. I prefer the stock ones although I am looking for Chrome ones, possible torque thrust II's. I do like boyd coddington's rims but this time I want chrome instead of polished aluminum.

Upgraded rims for my winters. I will be purchasing (either from Ford or aftermarket) a really nice set of 18's and wider tires.

I am sticking with the standard ones for winter rims and buying chrome ones for the summer. To each his own but way pay so much for factory rims if you plan on getting something else anyway

Two reason....I'm not sure if they come standard with the premium in Canada (so I'll get them anyway??) and second, I like the way they look and since winter up here is pretty long, for $400 Cdn or whatever I'd rather ride on rims I like the look of.

No way is it $400 a rim. I think the upgraded premium bullitt wheels on my '02 GT were around $500 over the standard GT wheels for all four.
