Does anyone have any information of any companies (Enterprise, Avis, ect) which currently use 2005 'Stangs as rental cars? If so, approxmate cost for 3-4 days?

I'm from the Dayton, Ohio area, 22 years old, only 1 speeding ticket from 3 years ago. I'd LOVE to rent a 'Stang to drive to Gatlinberg, TN in August. So far, all my research hasn't turned up a single Pony.

Also, most rental car companies will only rent to people 25 and older.

Yeah, you're chances of getting one of the big companies (i.e. Hertz, Enterprise, etc.) to rent to you are pretty slim. I tried when I was under 25 and had no luck anywhere.

Places around here seem more willing to help you out based on the fact I am active duty military. Hopefully Hertz (or another renter) will help out in this aspect as well. But if all else fails... I've still got my 02.

Thanks for the speedy replies!

I've seen some V6s at Hertz... but yeah under 25 not gonna happen unless you can get someone else to rent it for ya but that's taking a big risk if something happens.

I currently have a reserve for a coupe in Aug. from Avis in Springfield Oh.
They quoted me for a week at $241.00, they said a vert runs about $400.00 a week.

Some rental car companies will rent to people less than 25, but will charge an additional surcharge.

I rented a couple of cars when I was in my early 20's without a hassle.

I couldn't get a rental car at all when I was under 25. I had my own credit cards and military!

Though overseas I rented cars all the time! There was this one place in Sicily that had Mustang's but I never got a chance to get one. That would have been a blast! No real speed limits!
