FORD BRINGS ACTION-PACKED MUSTANG FUN IN SUPPORT OF THE 2004 DETROIT FOOTBALL CLASSIC

Ford is adding more drama and excitement to a growing college football tradition by offering four spectators the chance to win an all-new 2005 Mustang. After being randomly selected from the audience, the six contestants will participate in the half-time Ford Field Goal Challenge in which they will try to kick a 40-yard field goal. The winner - or winners - will each win a new version of America's original pony car.
The Classic also marks the kick off of the 2004 Black College Road Trip with two recent Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) graduates inspiring young people to seeking higher levels of education.
"Ford Motor Company continues its long-standing commitment of supporting the academic and athletic pursuits of college students and their families by providing its second-annual sponsorship support of the Detroit Football Classic," said Steve Lyons, president Ford Division. "This year's event promises to bring even more excitement to this new tradition in the heart of the Motor City."
Last year's inaugural Classic drew 65,000 spectators. This year, Classic fans will begin their day by visiting the Ford Experience Tour at the Comerica Park front parking lot. The Tour will feature many of Ford's latest products including the 2005 Ford GT supercar, the all-new 2005 Mustang GT, 2005 Five Hundred flagship sedan and the versatile all-wheel drive 2005 Freestyle. Tour goers will get a change to participate in interactive contests and trivia games for various Ford prizes and giveaways.
In the stands, fans will be revved-up by the 2004 Ford Black College Roadies who are on the trip of a lifetime in a 2004 Ford F-150 attending various black college football classics across the country. They will be traveling more than 8,500 miles in their journeys providing community services like helping young people understand the importance of obtaining a college education and sharing experiences that they can have attending an HBCU. For more details about the Roadies journey visit www.fordroadtrip.com.
After the game, some of the fans will then head to Ford's private "Fifth Quarter" post-game party at the Tiger Club inside Comerica Park. The party will be hosted by Detroit Lion great and Classic founder Robert Porcher and BET's "106th & Park" star Free.
In addition to the Detroit Football Classic, Ford is a major sponsor of the following HBCU Classics including the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis, Tenn. On Sept. 18, the Atlanta Classic in Atlanta, Ga. on Sept. 25 and the Bayou Classic in New Orleans on Nov. 27.
For more than 40 years, Ford has been a major supporter of the hopes and dreams of HBCU students. In the last five years alone, Ford has given over 10 million dollars to black colleges and universities.

holy bajeezes, a 40 yard field goal kick? why dont they just make it easier, like complete an 80 yard pass before getting sac'd in 3 seconds.
i'd be more excited if it was actually possible for the average joe to win one of the stangs. :notnice:
