20" AR Rogue to an 18"(Opinions needed)

So I am thinking about either selling, or trading the 20" x 8.5" Rogues for an 18" wheel. I would really like to go with a staggered stance.

Can someone give me the pro's or con's in YOUR opinion? I bought the wheels and tires used for a great deal, but I am not impressed with the ride quality or the way it makes the car feel. Just feels really sluggish. Almost as if you can really tell the wheels and tires weigh a ton.

Do you guys switching to 20's really notice that much of a difference? Road noise is unbearable. It has the Riken Raptor in a 255/35ZR20. The rears will need to be replaced soon and I am just considering a trade with someone, or go with 265/35ZR20 Nitto 555's all the way around. Maybe that will improve the ride quality.

What to do, what to do.

They look like nice rims, I am considering some new rims myself this fall. I can get the rims and then over the winter grab a deal on some new rubber as well.

Id love to profit from the sale of these for some Boze Forged wheels, but I don't think I can get away from the "Black and Silver" theme.

I'll slap some new tires on there, burn off the remainder of the rears and keep the "good tread" fronts for spares. Should make for a good burnout video.

Excellent idea, your car looks great with the rims and tires that are on it, I was cringing when I first saw you considering swapping to 18"'s

Next week's shopping list: Eibach Pro-Kit's (If I can sell the Sportlines I have in my closet) and the Steeda Adj. Upper Control Arm for wheelhop issues. TCS doesn't seem to kick in quick enough.

How do you like your D-Specs Rush? Did you notice a difference with that Panhard bar?

I swapped all the suspension parts at once when I still had the stock 17" wheels and I could not beleive the difference in handling, I have shocks set at 4 turns front and rear for now. The ride was firm but seemed less harsh then stock. The Steeda panhard bar and brace seem like such an improvement over the stock parts and was an easy install. The car doesn't feel like it's hopping sidways two feeet when I hit second hard, it still pulls but a lot less.

Putting on the 20" rims & tires made it handle even more aggresively but a huge difference in ride quality. It rides rough but I haven't had much time to drive it lately, the weather been the pits.

Rough ride aside I bought this thing to handle and perform and I not going back I love the stance, looks, and handling ability.
I hope to swap lower control arms and or a upper control arm, and add relocation brackets for lower control arms this winter (just trying to decide which to go with).

Good luck on your drop, it will look amazing, and the handling improvement will blow you away.

The 18" AR won't yield too much of a hit in muzzle velocity compared to the 20". Get a 18" fluted HBAR and you'll reduce the weight without sacrificing precision.

I have the stock "muscle car rims"
and 26x10.5x17 ET Street rubber.

I have to say, opinions are opinions but as far as Saleen using production 20's, Shelby making 20's for the S197's, I hardly see that as ghetto.

I like my Bushmaster Car15 (16"). Lightweight composite, just as accurate as my old AR-15.

Look on Youtube, I have a vid of my roommate helpin me sight in the Car. Username is VictorInATX. Half clip was winchester rounds and the other half was Black Hills. :-)

Thanks. I ordered tires today, 265/35/20. Someone locally is selling a Steeda Adj. Upper Control arm. He also is selling the Panhard bar and brace. I may offer a little below what he's asking and still a hell of a deal at more than half off new for NEW parts.

I am going with the Pro-Kit and the D-Specs will have to wait another month due to the tire purchase. If I can't buy it with my debit card, I won't do it. No more credit mistakes I made at 20 years old. Took me till now (27) to realize this.

My focal point for the car is handling, looks and decent drivability.

Most horrible website ever. None of their menu options work.
