Has anyone talked to a dealer to see if 18R is for real? I think I would do it, if it has EVERYTHING the 18G does minus the MyColor gauges.

curious too if this would be a special order only type thing, or if Ford will start shipping V6's to dealerships with this option code..

Realize you all dont have all the answers but maybe somebodys brother's uncle's friend's dog has heard something .. ? My local dealer is worthless on all this.

Karpro has posted email from ford about it. It's real, but doesn't have everything but MyColor. May want to search around for that.

It's real...but it's not real nice. I saw a postcard at my Ford dealer yesterday with it pictured. It's now the middle package for mustang interiors. It has the leather steering wheel with brushed satin spokes and the satin auto shift or leather wrapped manual shift. That's it...NOTHING else!

I heard from my dealership that the 'Full Interior Upgrade' is still available on GT models. According to him, the only Upgrade Pkg. that has been changed is pertaining to the V-6 Models. He said he called one of the Head-Cheese's @ Ford.....errrr, maybe that was 'Cheese-Head'. Seriously though, this is the latest info he got after I brought this to his attention. I told him I would not accept a partial pkg. on my GT......it's all or nothing! He said mine will be coming with full IUP......

I agree. They should have included the complete dash accent for that price. At $495 for full I.U.P. I figured most of that price went towards the MyColor & message center.

Emailed my sales guy last night - he is checking on it this morning. Of course, while he has proven to be a straight and upright guy - who knows what info "the powers that be" will tell him. If you think about all the marketing expense(brochures/ads/etc) that went into the MY COLOR, would believe someone i going to take a walk on this. IMO - The Marketing folks screwed up with their projections or the Bean Counters got involved.

Ya'll know i was thinking. Could that really be all that comes with the "lite" IUP? Becuase In the full IUP you get the 2 extra gauges. Does this mean it is completely impoosible to get those two gauges on the V6? Seems kinda silly to have the "lite" IUP and not give us the 2 extra gauges.

So this tells me Ford has a parts shortage on no only the MyColor system but also the full dash aluminum applique. I have to guess that the IUP 'Lite' is leaving out only the parts they are short on.

The guages can't be separated from the My Color because the instrument cluster is a built-up assembly from the supplier.

The My color, extra guages and message center come together in the optional cluster provided with IUP.

The only other variation is the speedometer escutcheon which is different for the V6, GT and Canadian models.

Even though i understand all this i can't help but think it doesn't make much since for V6 buyers to have no option allowing the additional gauges.

I'm just trying to decide for myself if there will be a return of the full IUP to V6s or not. Because if not i want to tell my dealer i don't want IUP so i can get my car! This being the reason i am so heck bend on this.
