Several on this forum have said (to me and others) "You'll forget about the wait after it's here". I'll *never* forget that wait, but boy am I glad I've finally got her in the garage!! Left the dealership at 2:30 this afternoon; just now finished washing; claying; Zainoing; and otherwise just getting to know her. And as I've requested previously, I want Hershey's syrup and some chopped almonds with them bananas!! It's party time!!
Did you have the dealer prep your car and then do the clay bar when you got it home?
Did the clay bar pick up a lot of garbage out of the paint?

I only had the dealer wash it with water, no soap; then I washed it with just a little Dawn dishwashing soap, clayed it, re-washed with Zaino car wash, then applied one coat of Zaino Z1 and one coat of Z2. To my surprise, the clay bar picked up very little if any debris or gunk in the paint - and it had been on the rail system about two weeks! Paint was (and is) in excellent condition (and I've not noticed any orange peel anywhere in it).

I ordered a GT vert back on 02-28. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where you guys get all your info on S/N, build dates and when the car is on the truck or rail? My dealer says he will not know anything until the order is pulled by Ford.
