Several on this forum have said (to me and others) "You'll forget about the wait after it's here". I'll *never* forget that wait, but boy am I glad I've finally got her in the garage!! Left the dealership at 2:30 this afternoon; just now finished washing; claying; Zainoing; and otherwise just getting to know her. And as I've requested previously, I want Hershey's syrup and some chopped almonds with them bananas!! It's party time!!

Congrats!!!

Is there any recommended waiting period before clay bar'ing a new car? When I got my '04 F150, I was told not to wax it for a month. Is using the clay bar right after you pick up the car the most effective time to do it?

Somewhere here on the site is a comment from Sal Zaino that you no longer need to wait for paint to cure on modern vehicles, and it's better to get some protection on them as soon as possible. I wanted to clay it quickly, as it had been on a railcar for most of the two weeks it took to get here after it was built. Surprisingly, however, the clay picked up very very little in the way of contaminants, etc. - paint was in very good shape.

Congratulations, "Groupset!"

Nothing like giving your car a good bath and a coat of wax. It's the best way to get acquainted! Your car looks terrific and the wheels are a perfect match.
