'07 GT Premier Interior Shifter ****

I have an '07 GT with Premier Interior package which includes the aluminum shifter **** (manual trans.). It looks great but man, does it get hot during summer and cold in the morning during winter (even in So California). I wanted to know if anyone else on this forum has noticed this. I almost like the standard GT shifter better. Contours to the hand better and probably does not get as hot and cold as the more expensive one...Anyway, I'm about to order the regular one on Ebay for $28 which seems pretty reasonable. The aluminum frame which surrounds the base will still match the regular **** since it too has the same color on top. I understand that I can just screw the new one on. What do you think?

I don't like that "upgraded" shifter. It looks like a big dong. I'd get the standard GT shifter and sell yours! (and NO I don't want to buy it... )

lol......that's pretty funny. I've been told it looks like a big dong, or something similar.

I really hope not. I just finished ordering the regular shifter on E Bay. The 'upgraded' one sucks. It also has a sharp groove cut around the circumferance and it just does not feel good in your hand. I hope I'll like driving with the new one more.

Not to hijack your thread but, i ordered a shifter bezel from Mustang Depot (i think thats the name). How does it fit on the left hand side of the shifter, there is only about 3/8 of an inch on the stock boot? to the edge of the consol.

My brother uses a white sock on his bullitt's shift ****. I will probably switch mine out to a traditional white cueball **** though.

Well, the one I just ordered is black, and isn't cut around the top.

I didn't like it at first either but got use to it... It matches well with the interior.

I think you guys need to get out of the house this weekend and stop playing with your shifters.

I am not crazy about the 07 upgraded shifter. I saw one at a dealer and it looked "off" to me.

The "Dong" shifter. That's great!

So many double entendres for this, I won't even bother...

The silver phallus shifter is from the Premiere Trim, not the IUP. The IUP shifter is the one with the fake leather sides and the silver painted top.

The standard GT/V6 shifter has black rubber/plastic sides with a black shifter pattern and silver text.

Owned.

The AZ sun/heat is precisely why I'm reluctant to swap to a non-stock shifter.

Well if the cut around the **** is bothering your hand maybe you should slip a condom over it.

I bought a take-off IUP shifter from eBay, but after much consideration, I still like the standard shifter.
