07 antenna will not thread in

07 antenna will not thread in

new to me 07 sweet ride.
bought the car used the antenna was in back seat.At home tried to screw back in but to no avail. There seems to be no threads in base. Is something missing?

wrong antenna ? I just ordered a shorty from American Muscle out with old & in with new. maybe it not even for your car.

Hey Mehall,

Something seems off there. Could you maybe post up some pictures so we can take a look?

Regardless, check out the Shorty Antenna! They look great, install in a few seconds and should fix the problem you are having.

Yup, a pic would help. I just had the same issue on my Wrangler so I ran a 1/4 20 tap down into the base and that fixed my issue.

I have the same problem. You guys are missing the point. The base has no threads present. Replacement antennas won't work because they thread in but the base has no threads. What are we missing?

Find out if your antenna is OEM/stock and also find out from your local Ford dealership's parts dept if the base is supposed to have threads or no threads

Then you'll have your answer !
