As you all know by now, the 05 Convertible has no rollbar.

Some of you, like me, have had the pleasure of flipping a car and ending up upside-down.

I know that I owe my life to seat belts (which I was wearing) and a non-convertible car. The roof/winshield did cave in a little but not enough to crush me. If I was in a convertible w/o a rollbar, I think I would be dead.

Does this concern you about the 05 verts?

I don't think any Mustang convertibles have ever been made with functional roll bars. It doesn't concern me any more now than it did when I bought my '01 convertible, which is very little to not at all.

The sun will kill more than the small # that will find a way to flip a 2005 Mustang. IMHO

Yeah, what was the chance of a rollover if you were hit in the 05- I think close to 8%. Of course, Murphy's law is applicable to many people.

I would have preferred that the Mustang come with some sort of rollover protection like the BMW or Audi convertibles have. But as I have never rolled a car and the only people I know who have were driving stupid, I'm not too worried.

if the car starts to roll over, just duck and cover. Just like you do if a volcano erupts.
