Question 05 V6 in Fail Safe Mode

Hey I was wondering if anyone can answer this lil question i have. I recently removed the entire engine from the vehicle and hooked up the wiring harness to the battery. When I turned the key to the on postion the Fail Safe Mode text appeared on the dash. Is this appearing because all the sensor connections are unplugged?

Yes. The engine runs off the ECU and the ECU recieves info from the sensors and there's something wrong then the ECU will do what it can to prevent damage to the motor, like run in safe mode. Why exactly were you trying to turn to the on position if all the plugs aren't connected??

I was just trying to get power to turn the radio on. But once I re-connect all the sensors will the fail safe mode message go away on its own?

If theres nothing wrong with the motor/accessories/ecu then i would assume evertyhing would be fine once you plug all the connectors in
